Instructions:

  • Listen to how other students continue the story.

About 'First Certificate Podcasts'

First Certificate Podcasts is a site aimed at EFL students studying for the Cambridge First Certificate in English exam.


What is 'First Certificate Podcasts'?

We aim to provide extra listening practice and exam tips & tricks through podcasts (short mp3 audio programmes). Some of these programmes will feature advice and help with taking the exam, while others will be aimed at giving you extra listening practice.

What is a podcast?

A podcast is an mp3 audio file available on the Web which you can listen to as often as you want. You can listen to these audio files in several different ways:

  • At this site, by pressing the podcast button
  • On CD (download the file and burn it onto a CD)
  • In your mp3 player by subscribing to the podcast feed (see following section)

How do I subscribe to 'First Certificate Podcasts'?
(the best option if you want to listen to the podcasts in your mp3 player)

  1. Download free 'podcatching' software from iPodder or iTunes or a similar site.
  2. Click on the red xml button at the top of the page to get the feed
  3. Copy the URL (address) of the feed and add it as a subscription to your 'podcatcher'
  4. The next time you run the podcatcher, the mp3 files from 'First Certificate Podcasts' will be downloaded automatically to your computer.
  5. Copy the mp3 files to your mp3 player
